The Wisley is an exclusive private members golf club based in Surrey designed by Robert Trent-Jones Junior including a twenty-seven hole golf course and practice facilities. We would like to invite applications for the position of a Full-time, Qualified Senior Assistant Greenkeeper to join our golf course maintenance team. A total of five Senior Greenkeepers have moved into internal and external upper management positions this year as a result of benefitting from our reputation, training and working experience here. The successful candidate will be working with, and reporting to, the clubâs Golf Course Superintendents and you will be charged with maintaining and presenting the golf courses to the highest tournament standards on a daily basis.
We are looking for
- Successful golf course maintenance experience at a club known for high quality standards
- NVQ level 2 (essential), NVQ level 3 (desirable)
- Pa1, Pa2, Pa6a Spraying certificates (desirable)
- The ability to successfully lead small teams
- A strong work ethic and dedication to greenkeeping
- High personal working standards
- Positive can-do, team-player attitude
- Reliable, honest and trustworthy
- Desire to improve and develop self via training
- A career person who wants to progress
