We’re hiring: Head Greenkeeper (Les Pins)
Are you a dynamic self-motivated greenkeeper with the expertise to manage one of Europe’s top golf courses? Do you have the communication skills to lead a team in maintaining a championship standard playing surface?
If that sounds like you, then we have a unique head greenkeeper role, at our Les Pins course, that we want to speak to you about.
Located in northern France, Golf d’Hardelot, is ranked in the top 25 of continental courses, and is part of the Open Golf Group. Set in a magical pine forest, the Les Pins course, one of two courses at the venue, was originally designed by famous British architect, Tom Simpson, in 1934.
To be considered for this fantastic opportunity you must have:
- Minimum three years’ experience as a Head Greenkeeper or Deputy Head Greenkeeper
- Relevant greenkeeping qualifications to a minimum of NVQ level 3
- Spraying qualifications (PA1, PA2, PA6)
- Experience and good understanding of sustainable fine grasses (browntop bents and red fescues)
- High level management skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Superb practical knowledge
- Ability to motivate a greenkeeping team
- Working knowledge of machinery and irrigation systems
- Experience of major construction
- Up-to-date knowledge of Health and Safety
- Knowledge of French would be an advantage, but not essential
