Crews Hill Golf Club is seeking to appoint an assistant greenkeeper and apprentice greenkeeper to add to its current highly skilled and qualified team. The club is currently making significant investments in the course and green staff-working environment.
Crews Hill Golf Club has recently purchased £200k of golf course machinery, has a new extensive greenkeeping facility under construction, in addition to the already existing facilities. Starting this September the greens team will be constructing a short game practice facility and an extensive putting green complex. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable construction experience.
We are looking for two hard working, enthusiastic, ambitious individuals that want to make green keeping a career. A passion and enjoyment for greenkeeping life is of the highest importance. Relevant training and development will be encouraged at all times.
Assistant Greenkeeper
The successful applicant will be qualified to at least NVQ2 and have at least 2 years experience in all aspects of Golf Course maintenance. Experience in construction of greens, tees & bunkers and use of mini digger is desirable but not essential. An understanding of the basic principles of golf course construction is, however, essential. A good understanding of good practice and the ability to work to a very high standard; this is a demanding but rewarding roll and a great opportunity for a forward thinking driven individual.
A starting salary plus benefits will be offered to the
successful candidate, subject to experience and qualifications, upon proving
ability remuneration will be increased.
