Strathaven Golf Club are looking for an individual to take responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of all our ground care machinery, therefore the ideal candidate will possess a level 3 or above in land based technology/engineering.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Possess an in depth knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical circuits, fabrication, cylinder grinding and unit set-up.
- Exhibit a strong knowledge of Health & Safety requirement.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the latest amenity equipment and the ability to analyse how their performance affects playing surfaces.
- Present effective ideas that will help improve the efficiency of the golf course maintenance operation.
- Keep accurate maintenance logs and service records.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have at least 3 years' experience as an amenity mechanic.
- Proven practical Greenkeeping experience.
- Level 3 or above in land based technology/engineering.
- Basic IT skills.
- A knowledge and understanding of the game of golf is desirable.
Salary negotiable according to experience and qualifications (will be in line with BIGGA recommendations).
