Mentmore Golf and Country Club was designed to create two first class 18 hole Championship golf courses, and a peaceful country club for its Members and guests to relax in. The two superb 18 hole courses, The Rothschild and The Rosebery are played over rolling parkland and feature lakes, woods and spinneys.

Mentmore Golf & Country Club invites applications for the position of Estate Manager. The successful applicant will be responsible for the management & implementation of the Estate maintenance practices & preparation of the golf courses, within the organisational & operational structure reporting to the General Manager.
Job Purpose
To manage all Greenkeeping and Estate Personnel and give guidance on the control of equipment, stock and purchasing. Manage the golf courses, grounds, gardens and estate to an extremely high level.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. Manage all estates staff to include: Training and development, succession planning and appraisal
2. Develop standard operating procedures for the golf courses, grounds, gardens and estate
3. Prepare and agree budgets, control costs and monitor working practices
4. Manage the Estate Health and Safety Policy
5. Develop and Manage an Estate Environmental Management Plan
6. Develop and deliver a golf course maintenance programme
7. Liaise with General Manager on upkeep and maintenance of Estate grounds and gardens
In addition to being experienced & highly motivated individuals, applicants will also;
Possess strong man management skills to organise, lead, motivate & train staff.
Be computer literate & have the ability to manage budgets.
Have the appropriate agronomic knowledge & understanding.
Be qualified to NVQ Level 3 & Possess PA1, 2 & 6 spraying certification.
Be able to manage & implement Health & Safety Policy within the greenkeeping department.
Understand & manage the fleet of greenkeeping equipment. Be experienced in construction drainage, irrigation system operation & maintenance, landscaping & woodland management.
