Seasonal Assistant Greenkeepers
Full time (April to September 2014)
Cottesmore Hotel Golf & Country Club is set in beautiful Sussex countryside and has a reputation for providing an excellent Country Club experience.
The wide range of facilities include a 21 bedroom hotel, seven self-catering golf course holiday homes, 36 holes of golf, a modern health club with a 15m pool and gym, and two out door tennis courts.
We are a forward thinking club, who has recently invested £100K in on course machinery. Over the past 2-years we have enlisted the skills of Master Green keeper Greg Evans to oversee our maintenance program with significant success.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic assistant greenkeeper to help us implement those plans and to work on the golf course between March and September in 2014. The person expected to fill the role should have the following attributes:
- Basic experience of golf course maintenance work, including ride-on cutting experience
- Must be a team player and expected to work hard, with some long hours at times
The role entails:
- A 40 hour working week Monday to Friday Full time
- Weekend work, on a rota basis
- Engagement in all course maintenance projects and procedures
- Learning about maximising the potential of poa annua greens. (We expect this to be of great benefit to the successful applicant).
Remuneration will be based on skill level and experience.
