Moray Golf Club is located in Lossiemouth on the Moray Firth and in its 125th Anniversary is looking to appoint a Courses’ Manager to maintain and develop its two championship links courses. The Old Course is an Old Tom Morris course whereas Henry Cotton was involved in the design of the New Course.
The successful candidate will report to the Greens’ Convenor and will be accountable to the Club Council. The Club also has a Courses Advisory Group intended to support the strategic development of the Club’s courses.
The major overarching job objectives are:
1. To manage the courses and green keeping team as agreed by the Council and
2. To promote Moray Golf Club with a view to ensuring its viability and sustainability.
The associated duties are as follows:
1. To oversee the operation and development of the Club’s Courses.
2. To ensure the efficient and effective use of physical and staffing resources.
3. To manage golf course staff and support continuing professional development.
The successful candidate will have at least five years’ experience of working on a links course and at least three years in a promoted post. Last year the Club hosted the Euro Pro Tour. This year the Club is hosting a Scottish Golf Union Junior Tour Event. In 2015 the Club will host the SGU Amateur Strokeplay Championship. The Club is also one of a select group of Clubs considered by the Scottish PGA as worthy of inclusion on the new Northern Open rota.
