We are recruiting for the above positions within the Golf Course and Estates Department at Loch Lomond Golf Club.
Reporting directly to The Golf Course Management Team, the successful candidates will assist with all aspects of golf course management, maintenance and presentation.
The Golf Course Maintenance Department strives for excellence in golf course and turf management and carry out in-house construction and drainage works.
The roles require individuals who are proactive, hardworking and conscientious. The individuals must also be energetic, motivated and flexible.
Full time Greenkeeper
- Applicants for the full-time greenkeepers should have NVQ level 2 or equivalent in greenkeeping and 3 yearsâ greenkeeping experience.
- PA1, 2 and 6 qualifications are desirable but not essential.
Applicants will assist and/or be exposed to the following:
- Under supervision, carry out effective turf maintenance by following established schedules and maintenance programmes.
- Collection and interpretation of data.
- Scout and identify potential turf problems and provide input for corrective solutions.
- With training and supervision, can calibrate, apply and record fertilizer, pesticide and seed applications.
- Learn how to deal with highly challenging conditions and Member expectations.
- A phased major renovation programme to the golf course which includes a full irrigation and drainage upgrade complimented with sand capping
- Gain an insight into irrigation systems.
- With training and supervision, be able to use a wide range of machinery and equipment.
- Routine workshop practices. E.g. vehicle checks, setting height and quality of cut on mowers.
