Tandridge is a private members golf club and is in the final stages of restoring many features of its original Harry Colt design. The golf course is rated in the top 100 English courses.
The successful candidate reporting to the Course Manager will be responsible for the upkeep, servicing, fault-finding, maintenance and condition of the Club’s golf course machinery. Occasional greenkeeping duties may also be required. The job entails taking responsibility for the entire machinery fleet maintaining it to the highest professional standard and adhering to the latest health & safety requirements.
Applicants will need to possess the following Qualifications, Experience and Skills;
- Qualified in the latest Machinery techniques for Sports Turf Management and Maintenance.
- Passionate, enthusiastic and highly motivated.
- Excellent communicator and strong team player.
- Experience of Tournament course preparation desirable.
- The ability to work in an efficient and effective manner and prioritize work schedules.
- Proven experience of the preparation and operation of green keeping machinery and equipment.
- Knowledge of IT systems, excel spreadsheets, in order to assist with the preparation & control of budgets and maintenance schedules.
- Maintain all equipment to approved standards, adhering to Health and Safety guidelines.
- Used to working with all major manufacturers machinery and equipment.
- Proven ability in diagnosing and repairing all mechanical, hydraulic, electronic and electrical faults.
- Welding and Soldering.
- Fully skilled at the operation of cylinder-grinding machines (Hunter Grinder Jupiter ATi or similar).
