The Luffenham Heath Golf Club is a traditional private membersâ golf club situated in Rutland and the golf course is ranked in the Golf World Top 100 golf courses in England. The Club plays host to the Open Championship Regional Qualifying until 2017 and has in the past hosted the English Boys Amateur Stroke Play Championship as well as the English Champion of Champions Tournament.
We are a forward thinking Club, prepared to invest heavily in striving to improve the facilities both on and off the golf course. The golf course is listed as a SSSI and therefore we work closely with Natural England in all aspects of its upkeep and maintenance in retaining the natural heathland and fine grasses.
The Club is seeking an experienced Greenkeeper with the passion and drive to help deliver excellence in all aspects of the presentation of the golf course at Luffenham Heath. The right candidate will, therefore, be able to demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure and respond proactively to the varied requirements of the role.
The successful candidate will be:
- Highly motivated with very high standards of work and attention to detail
- A strong and committed work ethic
- Hold or be currently working towards NVQ level 2 or equivalent
- Able to work well within a team environment or alone as required
- Flexibility in working hours as additional evening and weekend work may be required from time to time
- A good understanding of Greenkeeping practices
- A sound knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
- A Full clean driving licence
- Chainsaw and Spraying qualifications would be desirable but not essential
